Evidentiary infrastructure

ARC

A Record of: Certainty, Custody, Compliance, Contribution. Two products on one anchor: Proof timestamps any record on the Bitcoin blockchain; Cadence makes time tracking itself evidentiary. Both answer to a hostile auditor, not a dashboard.

Who it's for

Anyone whose claim will be checked by someone hostile.

Researchers and inventors timestamping papers, code, and priority claims. Legal and compliance teams who need chain-of-custody evidence that holds up in discovery. Machine integrations: CI pipelines and partner systems anchoring audit-trail hashes automatically.

ARC is infrastructure, not a lifestyle product. It should feel like a utility you trust the way you trust a checksum.

Mechanism

From hash to permanent record

  1. Submit.

A document, or just its hash; the content itself never has to leave your machine.

  2. Batch.

Hashes are assembled into a Merkle tree. One anchor covers thousands of records.

  3. Anchor.

The Merkle root is written into a Bitcoin transaction. From that block on, the timestamp is as hard to revise as the blockchain itself.

  4. Issue.

You receive a portable .proof file: the complete verification path from your hash to the anchored root.

The guarantee

verify(.proof) → block height, block time

Verification requires no account, no API, and no ARC. The proof file is self-contained: anyone can check it offline against the public blockchain. If we disappeared tomorrow, every proof ever issued would keep working.

Cadence

Time capture that survives an audit.

Every current time tracker records assertions. Timely, Toggl, Harvest: good tools, none evidentiary. Their rows can be edited by whoever owns the account, which means an auditor cannot distinguish a real hour from a reconstructed one.

Cadence records evidence: every row is hash-chained at write time, signed, and anchored through the same Bitcoin infrastructure as Proof. Built for R&D tax-credit claims (SR&ED, US R&D credit, UK relief), where the difference between an assertion and a record is the difference between an approved claim and a clawback.
